What Does it Really Take to Make Money Online?

Probably the most important step to making money online is the desire to do it. The internet, contrary to so many of the headlines we see, is not a get rich quick scheme. Strong internet incomes are achieved the same way brick and mortar incomes are achievedvia hard work, long hours, and dedication to making money online. To make money online, you must be willing to work hard, often long hours, study the latest material on marketing and traffic generation, and be willing to stick with it before you start making the big money online.

In order to make money online, you must develop a basic understanding of why people buy. The psychological motivations of internet purchases are much the same as offline purchases. People buy things online because they feel the purchase will make them feel younger, sexier, happier, or because it will make them rich or well-liked.

You must find or develop a product that is well-suited to making money online—it must primarily meet the emotional needs of people online—making them feel younger, sexier, happier, rich, or well-liked.

To make money online, you must learn everything you can about marketing, both offline and online. You must understand what

Implementing Service Management: Part 1 – Service Level Management

What is Service Level Management?

Service Level Management is one element of the 11 ITIL disciplines, and details the need to plan, draft, agree, monitor and report on service achievement within the business. It also incorporates the requirement for an organisation to implement actions to eradicate potential unsatisfactory service.

Service Level Agreements are one component of Service Level Management; these are documented agreements and are written from the perspective of both the supplier and recipient or end user. These agreements dictate the Service Levels and include services provided, metrics, responsibilities and help to ensure that all support requests are responded to and fixed within the agreed timeframes.

Implementing effective Service Level Management can dramatically increase an organisations ability to respond to and fix users requests. Emma Anderson, Service Manager (SSI Computer Services)

Why introduce Service Level Management?

Service Level Management is fundamental to an effective service provision, however its a topic not widely discussed among organisations looking to improve their Service Delivery. Most organisations have the impression that new tools alone will increase their organisations ability to respond to a growing number of requests. In fact, a major factor in Service improvement is in the ability of the

The Controversy Over Roadside Field Sobriety Tests

Copyright 2006 Lance Knowlton

Roadside field sobriety tests (FSTs), developed at the behest of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), are commonly employed by police officers during DUI stops to determine whether a driver is under the influence of alcohol.

FSTs generally consist of a battery of three to five exercises, such as walking and turning in a different direction, standing on one leg, nystagmus (using the eyes to track an object), touching the finger to the nose and reciting the alphabet.

The officer may subjectively decide whether the individual failed the test, or he may decide after applying recently-promulgated federal scoring standards. The NHTSA thinks these tests are a reliable way to gauge sobriety; however, there is mounting evidence that they are anything but.

Many FSTs are based on the concept of divided attention, which occurs when an individual must concentrate on more than one thing at the same time. A driver must divide her attention among various physical and mental activities to safely operate a vehicle, and her ability to do so is significantly reduced by the consumption of alcohol.

Ideally, FSTs evaluate the same mental and physical capabilities that a person needs to drive:

Google Adsense: Your Content Better Not Suck

I wanted to take a few minutes and write to you about something that is vitally important in building websites with Google Adsense for fun and profit.

Im sure that youve heard this before, but Im going to beat a dead horse right now, because its really, REALLY important to understand, and newbies and even experienced people STILL dont get it (or maybe want to get it).

Let me shout this from the rooftops, so all will hear it…

Without good content, your venture into Google Adsense, and getting any kind of profits from Adsense is going to be tough, tough tough.

In fact, Id say that it was almost impossible to generate any long term profits without good, solid content of some kind on your website.

Content is something that you simply cant ignore, and it’s a crime above crime if you do. Search engines love content and depend on it to kick back quality content results to its end users, people like you and me, or that guy who’s looking for what you’ve got to give him, whether it’s actual products, a service or just a Google Adsense ad.

Without good content for search engines to use and

Generating Excitement At Sporting Events

From August through March, sports enthusiasts everywhere can be found watching their favorite college football or basketball games at tailgating parties. picnics, campsites or at home.

Because most remote sports gatherings have become high-tech, the use of satellite TVs, microwave ovens, computers and even blenders to whip up party drinks is becoming more the norm than the exception. And the common denominator is power. Enter the portable generator.

Once reserved only for emergencies, the portable generator has become the real power behind today’s tailgate parties. Manufacturers such as Honda Power Equipment are designing generators that are powerful, lightweight, fuel efficient and that provide clean power necessary for sensitive electronics.

“Choosing the right generator is easy: Just select the appliances you’ll want to operate and match the output of the generator to your needs,” says Tom Pernice, Marketing and Product Planning at Honda Power Equipment. (You can find a handy wattage calculator at www.honda.com.) “Look for a quiet generator that won’t disturb other tailgaters.”

These tips will help you get the most out of your generator: Be sure to pack a power strip for plugging in multiple appliances, and because games can run into overtime, take along extra gas

The Babe Ruth Story – The Fierce Rivalry Of The Red Sox And The Yankees

Tags: Babe, Ruth, Story, The

Near the end of the 1919 season, Harry Frazee, then owner of the Boston Red Sox, decided to sell a group of his star players to the New York Yankees. Among them was George Herman Ruth, also known affectionately as “Babe”. Ruth’s career reflects the change in strategy and the shift in dominance from pitching to hitting at this time.

Babe Ruth had a reputation for being one of the fiercest “leftys” to ever take the mound. It was soon discovered that he wasnt too bad with a bat either, and Ruth became the most celebrated and successful player in Boston. He was practically an institution. When many Bostonians awoke on January 6, 1920, and opened their morning newspapers, they mourned the fact that an icon had been sold to New York. The Babe was gone.

Boston did not seem to be able to recover from this catastrophe until the 2004 World Series, when the “Curse of the Bambino” was finally put to rest after 86 years. From 1903, when the Red Sox were established, until 1920, the club had appeared in five World Series, and won every one of them.

In the 1916 and 1918 World Series, Babe

Before you start thinking that were referring to a psychopathic voyeur who is observing you from the building adjacent to your house, let us clarify that were going to discuss about spyware. Yes. Spyware: a program which has been the bane to Internet users for the past three years.

Spyware is one of those things that were invented for a good purpose, but was eventually exploited in time. Spyware was originally meant as a tool that would allow you to monitor the usage of your PC terminal while youre away from the keyboard so that you can prevent illegal access to the same. Eventually, it found other borderline uses, like catching a cheating spouse or significant other, prying on your daughters liaisons, and watching over your childrens Internet activities
